Ken Emanuelson, one of the leaders of the Dallas Tea Party, which is one of the local tea parties that form the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, is the spokesperson of inaugural Leadership Tea Party event.

"We are thrilled to have Richard Viguerie deliver the keynote speech at our event," Emanuelson said. "Mr. Viguerie is one of the founding fathers of the modern conservative movement. The Tea Party Movement's core values of limited government as authorized by the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, and free markets are completely consistent with the principled conservatism Mr. Viguerie has practiced for over 45 years. He was hired by William F. Buckley Jr. in 1962 as the director of Young Americans for Freedom, worked for the Goldwater campaign in 1964, pioneered the direct response fund raising techniques that financed the 1980 election of Ronald Reagan, and has been a key leader in the movement for limited government for decades."

Featured instructors and panelists at the event will include Michael Patrick Leahy, author of Rules for Conservative Radicals, Eric Odom, founder of the American Liberty Alliance, Bill Hennessy, author of Zen Conservatism and co-founder of the St. Louis Tea Party, Mark Fitzgibbons, a nationally recognized legal expert on fundraising and organizational issues for non-profits, Lorie Medina of the Dallas Tea Party, Warren Mosler, one of a growing number of independents and traditional Democrats who support the core values of the Tea Party Movement, and Dana Loesch, the St. Louis based radio talk show host. "We are offering these 11 sessions of grassroots training instruction to fifty selected members of Leadership Tea Party Class 1. The price of tuition is set at a low $125 in order to make it affordable to true grassroots activists. We encourage any and all grassroots activists who would like to attend Leadership Tea Party Class 1 to apply online at today. We are making class acceptance decisions beginning tomorrow."

"The motivation for this event is to reach out to the hard-working grassroots leaders and to give them strategic reinforcements for their local groups. This conference wasn't formed with the intent of raising money. Because of that, we've lowered financial barriers so anyone can attend. Not only is the cost of attendance low but some financial scholarships will be given."

"In addition, grassroots activists around the country can watch the event on a live webcast. Anyone can sign up today to watch the live webcast at ."

"The keynote speech and all 11 sessions are open to the press. Anyone in the press who wants to attend should contact us at to secure credentials. We will quickly respond to any press requests for credentials."

"I want to conclude by saying that, in our opinion, the mainstream media has gotten the Tea Party Movement wrong. It's not about the various national organizations, or even purported national leaders. It's about the thousands of local tea party organizations that are loosely collaborating to return limited Constitutional Government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility to the United States."
