SALT LAKE CITY, March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, has been hired to promote the Utah Valley Marathon to national outlets through public relations.

This year, the marathon will be held on Saturday, June 11, starting at 6:00 a.m. in Provo Canyon, Provo, Utah. All 26.2 miles of the race are surrounded by beautiful and diverse scenery, including the mountains in Provo Canyon, waterfalls in Bridal Veil Falls, Utah County countryside, Deer Creek Reservoir, Provo River, Utah Lake and the downtown Provo cityscape.
In its inaugural year, 240 athletes competed in the marathon event, which includes the half marathon and 5K. Growing 93 percent in just three years, participation vaulted to 3,750, with over 6,000 event participants expected for 2011. Additionally, the 2010 average finish time for the marathon was 4:18:40, adding credibility to its ranking as one of the fastest marathon courses in the country.
Established in 1971, Richter7 has been named Utah's "Best of State" advertising agency seven times in the past decade, and is nationally recognized for effective advertising, public relations, online, interactive and design for clients from Minneapolis to Hawaii.
