Rising Texas Rock Band Recording New Album at World Famous SugarHill Studios

HOUSTON, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This morning, Clay Melton Band, feature artist of Watchtower Entertainment, announced they are recording their debut album with Grammy-winning producer Dan Workman at the world famous SugarHill Recording Studios. (Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Beyonce') Mr. Workman commented, "I've had the privilege of watching Clay evolve from a gifted intuitive guitarist to a complete performer and songwriter. He has managed the hardest of tasks: crafting a musical identity that lives up to the promise of a precocious talent." SugarHill lead engineer Steve Christensen (Miranda Lambert) is heading up engineering duties inside the famous studio A (Rolling Stones) along with a support team that includes professional drum-tech Josh Applebee. Clay Melton shared, "We couldn't be more excited to bring these songs to life working with Dan and SugarHill. Dan is first class and working in Studio A where legends have performed is truly an honor."
Clay Melton has chosen to title the band's upcoming full length CD "Burn The Ships" a reference to moving all things ahead with eyes fully focused on moving forward and not retreating. Mr. Workman went on to say "Clay Melton Band is an outstanding performance vehicle for front man Clay Melton. The band members, Zach Grindle (drums) and Raymon Minton (bass) are Clay's equals, which is high praise indeed. While recording the first song, it was one of the rarest of studio moments...A band killing it, playing all together in the same room. Everyone brought their A game to this party, and the song sounds like it."
This June, Watchtower Entertainment will showcase the band's high-energy live show at an album release concert at the House of Blues in Houston Texas.
