Rivington Capital Expands Advisory Board With Addition of Industry Veteran, Jonathan Clarkson
HOUSTON, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Rivington Capital Advisors, LLC ("Rivington" or the "Firm") announced today the addition of Jonathan Clarkson to it advisory board. In this capacity, Mr. Clarkson will assist Rivington in developing business and market opportunities as well as providing strategic advice to the Firm and its clientele.
Mr. Clarkson currently serves as the Houston Region Chairman for Texas Capital Bank. He joined Texas Capital in 2003 when he helped establish the Houston bank and began as President and CEO of the Houston Region. From 1999 through 2001, Mr. Clarkson served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Bargo Energy Company, a private company engaged in the acquisition and exploitation of oil and gas properties. Following a merger of Bargo and Bellwether Energy Company in 2001, he served in a similar capacity with the new company, Mission Resources Corporation, through 2002. From 1987 through 1999, Mr. Clarkson was the principal financial officer for United Meridian Corporation, the predecessor company to Ocean Energy Inc. During this period, Ocean developed from a small privately held domestic acquisition vehicle to a sizeable NYSE listed company with over $1.5 billion is asset value, and operations in the US, Canada, and West Africa. From 1975 through 1987, Mr. Clarkson served at InterFirst Bank, Dallas (formerly First National Bank in Dallas), managing commercial lending functions in the Energy and U.S. Corporate Divisions. Mr. Clarkson received a bachelor of science degree in economics from Southern Methodist University in 1972 and a master of management degree (MBA) in finance and accounting from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management – Northwestern University in 1975.
