R.J. Brunelli & Co. Announces Series of Leases for Major Retailers in New Jersey, Including Whole Foods Location in Marlboro

OLD BRIDGE, N.J., March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- R.J. Brunelli & Co., today announced the recent completion of a series of leases that will bring major retailers, restaurants, recreational facilities and personal services to sites in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer, Union, Essex, and Bergen counties in central and northern New Jersey.

In the largest of the deals, senior vice president Bill Lenaz brokered a 40,000-square-foot lease  that will bring Whole Foods Market to the new Marlboro Commons retail center on Routes 9 and 520 in Marlboro Township. The 105,000-square-foot specialty shopping center is scheduled for completion in 2012.  R.J. Brunelli is exclusive leasing agent for the property, which is owned by Pagano Associates.

This will be the second store for the world's largest natural and organic foods supermarket chain in Monmouth County, joining a previously opened location in the eastern part of the county in Middletown. Elsewhere in Monmouth County, sales associate John Lenaz brokered the lease of a two-acre site at Route 35 & Wyckoff Street in Eatontown to Wawa for the construction of a convenience store and fuel center. The property is owned by Fidelity Realty.

In Essex County, vice president Danielle Brunelli-Albrecht represented Deal$ on a lease for an 18,200-square-foot space at Bloomfield Plaza in Bloomfield.  Deal$, whose parent company is Dollar Tree, will be joining Staples, Sally Beauty, Casual Male, Radio Shack and Payless Shoes at the 89,200-square-foot center located at 135 Bloomfield Avenue.  The center is owned by Bloomfield Plaza Associates, L.P.  R.J. In Union County, Ron DeLuca, vice president of tenant representation, represented Monster Mini Golf on the lease of an 11,200-square-foot space at the Union 22 Town Shopping Center in Union. The 75,000-square-foot property on Route 22 is owned by Vanick Properties.  R.J. Brunelli represents Monster Mini Golf on an exclusive basis in central and northern New Jersey.

In a series of deals for Muscle Maker Grill, John Lenaz and Ms. Brunelli-Albrecht represented the fast-casual restaurant chain on leases for three sites in Middlesex, Union and Bergen counties.  In Middlesex, Muscle Maker signed a lease for a 2,795-square-foot space at the Brunswick Shopping Center on Route 1 and Milltown Road in North Brunswick. Other tenants at the 307,000-square-foot center owned by Levin Management include L.A. Fitness, A&P, Dollar Tree, and Sally Beauty.  In Union, the chain signed for 1,650 square feet at Village Shopping Center in New Providence. Owned by New Providence LLC, the 150,000-square-foot center includes such other tenants as A&P, CVS, Radio Shack, and Braunschweiger Jewelers. In Bergen, the chain signed for 1,270 square feet at Essex Square in Lodi. The 16,000-square-foot center, owned by Lodi Essex LLC, includes such co-tenants as Sleepy's and Verizon Wireless.  R.J. In an additional restaurant deal, senior associate Michael Murphy represented The Turning Point in a lease for 3,500 square feet at The Marketplace in Brick Township. Located on Route 70 and Sharrock Street in Ocean County, the 320,000-square-foot power center is anchored by Costco, Christmas Tree Shops, Dick's Sporting Goods and Staples.  The center is owned by Edgewood Properties.  R.J. In another series of deals, Ms. Brunelli-Albrecht represented European Wax Center, a provider of eyebrow waxing and other hair removal services, on leases for 2,000 square feet at Shrewsbury Plaza in Shrewsbury and for 1,510 square feet at Mercer Mall in Lawrenceville. Situated on Route 35 and Shrewsbury Avenue in Monmouth County, the 225,000-square-foot Shrewsbury Plaza includes such tenants as Marshall's, Acme, A.C. Moore, Jo Anne Fabrics, Panera Bread, and Massage Envy. The center is owned by National Realty & Development Corp. Elsewhere in Mercer County, Ms. Brunelli-Albrecht represented Sally Beauty in the lease of 1,500 square feet at  the Burlington Coat Factory-anchored center at 370 Route 130 South and Hightstown Road in East Windsor. Owned by Vornado Realty Trust, the center also includes CVS, Dollar Tree and Party Fair stores.  R.J. Brunelli represents Sally Beauty in central and northern New Jersey on an exclusive basis.

In another Bergen County transaction, sales associate Ed Abaid represented video game retailer Play N Trade on a lease for 1,750 square feet at the A&P-anchored shopping center located at 117 Franklin Turnpike in Mahwah. Owned by Inwood Realty Group, LLC and 615 West 173rd Street Realty LLC, the 109,400-square-foot center includes such co-tenants as Dunkin Donuts, UPS, Blimpie, Verizon, GNC, Hallmark, and Dairy Queen.  R.J.
