IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RJE releases the new version of Safety Turtle.
The new model replaces the 16-year-old technology with a new look and new features.
Safety Turtle has been on the market since the late 1990s. RJE Technologies, Inc. purchased the company from the original owner in November of 2012. The new version offers a smaller streamlined base with better range, easier to use, low battery indicator and a USB cord. The new Turtle is on the recognizable wristband, but now uses state-of-the-art water switch technology to activate the alarm. It can be easily wiped off to stop the transmission of the radio signal. RJE addressed the suggestions of the existing customer base to improve and update the system. The Safety Turtle 2.0 is worn on a child's wrist or pet's collar and triggers the alarm in the house when it is submerged in water.
"We love the new base and the convenience of being able to pack it up and take it to grandma's house!"
RJE Technologies, Inc. strives to meet its mission statement of preventing childhood drownings.
