LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Back Lot Music releases today the soundtrack EP for R.L. Stine's Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend?, Universal Studios Home Entertainment & Universal 1440 Entertainment's family adventure feature, in line with the film's Blu-ray™ , DVD and Digital release. The film was produced by Lookout Entertainment, Commotion Pictures and Parachute Entertainment. The soundtrack features songs performed by the films cast, including Bella Thorne, Casey Young, Roshon Fegan and Ryan Ochoa of The Ochoa Boyz.
With the help of the album's co-producers, brother and sister producer team Dan Bernard and Yvonne Bernard, the soundtrack to Ghostly is comprised of all of the music that is featured in and/or written for the film. Pop superstar Thorne lent her infectious single "Bad Case of U", from her forthcoming album, to the film and soundtrack. Additionally, Young – who has two songs on the soundtrack – moved from the Philadelphia area a year ago to pursue her acting/singing career. Fegan contributes the catchy party anthem "Like to Party". Finally, The Ochoa Boyz – comprised of four talented young members of the Ochoa family – contribute their self-produced and written track "Scare Zone." Keep an eye out for a soon-to-be released lyric video for the song!
Dan Bernard says about the album, "Working with Bella Thorne, The Ochoa Boyz, Casey Young and Roshon Fegan was an amazing experience. The talent and dedication that this group of young artists brought to the set and studio was second to none. I am honored and proud to be one of the producers of this EP soundtrack, along with Yvonne Bernard."
About the Film
A young magician and his two otherworldly best friends do some supernatural sleuthing in the second film based on the internationally beloved book series from legendary children's writer R.L. Stine. Thorne (Shake It Up!, Gook Luck Charlie), Madison Pettis (Lab Rats, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3) Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally, The Big Year), Fegan (Shake It Up!) and Ochoa (Pair of Kings, The Perfect Game) lead an ensemble cast in this spooktacular adventure with new ghosts, new thrills, and the return of some old friends. Max (Ochoa) only has eyes for Cammy (Thorne), the smart, popular redhead at school. When Max finally scores a date with Cammy on Halloween, Phears, an evil ghost with plans on taking over the world, unleashes his ghouls and things go haywire. With the help of his ghostly pals, Tara (Pettis) and Nicky (Fegan), can Max thwart Phears' evil plot, help reunite his ghost friends with their long-lost parents and still make his date with Cammy on Halloween?
