Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey Has Most Attorneys in Texas Who Are Board Certified in Property Owners Association Law

HOUSTON, Feb. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas law firm Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC (RMWBH) is pleased to announce that seven shareholders with the firm are board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Real Estate-Property Owners Association (POA) law, and the firm now has the highest number of attorneys certified in that specialty in the state.

In Texas, only 32 of over 103,000 licensed attorneys are board certified in POA law. At RMWBH, Shareholders Rick Butler, Marc Markel, Clayton Hearn, Brady Ortego, Sipra Boyd, Clint Brown and Cliff Davis have achieved this certification.

Of the 40 attorneys at RMWBH, 15 are now board certified, 10 of whom are certified in at least two specialty areas and three who are certified in three specialty areas.

In Texas, only eight percent of licensed attorneys are board certified, with only one percent of all attorneys board certified in two specialty areas.

To earn certification, attorneys must complete a rigorous program established by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the Supreme Court of Texas. The process involves a stringent, specialty area examination that is designed to set apart these attorneys as practitioners with the highest commitment and expertise in their areas.

Earning board certification for the first time are firm Shareholders Sipra Boyd, Clint Brown and Jane Janecek. Boyd, Brown and Janecek achieved their certification in Residential Real Estate law. Along with their POA law certification, Boyd and Brown are now double board certified. Also, achieving board certification in Residential Real Estate law is Shareholder Clayton Hearn.  

Hearn adds POA and Residential Real Estate to his existing Labor and Employment law certification, making him the only attorney in the state with this specific combination of board certifications.

Rick Butler and Marc Markel previously obtained board certifications in Residential Real Estate law and Commercial Real Estate law and are now board certified in three areas.
