Robust Ricoh color A4 MFPs boast productivity and smooth mobile device connectivity, enabling users to do more in less time

MALVERN, Pa., Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh USA, Inc. today unveiled a pair of color multifunction printers (MFPs) designed to help businesses boost productivity and produce professional-quality color output in-house. The versatile RICOH MP C307 and RICOH MP C407 leverage advanced Workstyle Innovation Technology to empower users to do more, such as print, copy, scan, fax, and store information locally and in the cloud, with fewer steps. These information hubs simplify daily tasks by printing and scanning at higher speeds, digitizing large batches of documents with optical character recognition (OCR) for archiving and utilizing Ricoh's Smart Operation Panel with familiar, easy-to-use shortcuts similar to smartphones and tablets.

The RICOH MP C307 and RICOH MP C407 can produce high quality output, such as presentations, proposals and postcards. The 31-page-per-minute (ppm) RICOH MP C307 and the RICOH MP C407 (36 ppm color, 42 ppm black and white, ideal for larger workgroups that generate higher volumes) can both handle a maximum volume of up to 5,000 pages per month and generate prints at resolutions up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. With scan speeds up to 80 images per minute (ipm) and two-sided scanning via the Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF), users can quickly and simply digitize information to get it to the right people at the right time via email, the cloud or other collaboration tools. A legal-size platen allows users to scan and share 8.5" x 14" stapled documents with minimal interruption to their routine.

Both the RICOH MP C307 and RICOH MP C407 are equipped with Ricoh's tablet-like 10.1"-wide Smart Operation Panel that enables users to customize workflows and easily move information to other MFPs, offices and workgroups. On-the-go employees can use the RICOH Smart Device Connector app to reap further benefits. The app allows users to copy, print and scan from mobile devices, as well as connect and share files with other Ricoh devices, such as Interactive Whiteboards and projectors. RICOH Smart Device Connector also enables access to cloud services, such as Google Drive™ and Dropbox. If a visiting employee wants to give a presentation and provide attendees with a printed version of it, all they need is the presentation on their mobile device or cloud service. They can print copies and send the presentation to the projector, directly from the device, without needing to install drivers or ask IT for network access. Employees who find themselves working in different locations day to day can also print, scan and share from their own devices via native AirPrint (iOS®) and Mopria (Android®) near-field communications (NFC) support.

For even more productivity, the RICOH MP C307 and RICOH MP C407 deliver fast first page out times so users spend less time waiting. These devices also help reduce downtime thanks to their two paper feed unit options that help accommodate higher volumes or multiple media types.

The RICOH MP C307 and RICOH MP C407 feature Ricoh's proven controller technology, powered by a 1.46 GHz Intel® processor and boast 2GB RAM that help users complete complex tasks quickly. Meanwhile, a 320GB Document Server allows users to store files from multiple sources for simple, on-demand access, which is especially helpful for frequently reprinted jobs.
