Rockfleet Announces Opening of New York City Office

NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Rockfleet Financial Services, Inc. today announced the opening of its Manhattan office.  The company will provide investment banking, advisory, securities origination, brokerage, dealer and related services across the United States.  Rockfleet also announced several new hires, to be based in Manhattan.

Michael Keane as Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Keane has 30 years of municipal securities underwriting, trading, and sales experience.  His diversified background, including marketing and risk management, provides the firm with strength across a variety of important strategic areas.  He has directed and coordinated the underwriting, sales, and marketing efforts on senior managed transactions, as well as significant co-managed appointments.  Mr. Keane has developed his expertise at several firms, including Lighthouse Financial Group, LLC; Siebert Brandford Shank & Co., L..L.C.; Loop Capital Markets, L..L.C.; Prager, McCarthy & Sealy, LLC; and PaineWebber Incorporated.

Peter Rallis as Managing Director and Manager of Municipal Securities Trading.  Previously, Mr. Rallis worked for Sovereign Securities Corporation LLC in its municipal securities division.  Prior to that position, Mr. Rallis was employed by UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly PaineWebber Incorporated) for 36 years.  32 of those years were in UBS' municipal bond department as a senior marketing associate and head trader, later assuming managerial duties and functioning as senior retail trader for various states.

Otto Boehm as Senior Vice President and the company's Senior Municipal Underwriter.  Mr. Boehm is a 20-year veteran of the municipal bond industry.  He started his career with Prudential Securities Incorporated in 1989 as a clerk, and later a supervisor, in its municipal bond operations department.  He was later promoted to junior underwriter, then senior underwriter.   He held that position following the merger with Wachovia Corporation.  Mr. Boehm has underwritten numerous issues during his career.

Blount Edwards as Senior Vice President and Institutional Salesperson.  Mr. Edwards has extensive experience in financial markets, having worked a combined 20 years in institutional sales and trading, private equity, investment management and capital-raising.  Before joining Rockfleet, he managed investment portfolios at UBS Financial Services Inc.  Mr. Edwards also raised risk capital and managed several private equity investment management portfolios as principal.  His institutional sales and trading experience includes CIBC World Markets Corp., Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, and Citicorp Securities, Inc.  Mr. Edwards began his career first at Signet Banking Corporation as an analyst and later at General Electric Capital Corporation as an associate.  

Daniel Rudnitsky as Vice President and Institutional Salesperson.  Mr. Rudnitsky previously was a portfolio specialist at Bear Stearns Asset Management Inc., with a concentration on core and related strategies.  Prior to that, he was a product manager with AllianceBernstein Investments, Inc. for taxable and tax-exempt fixed income, and was with institutional client servicing at Dreyfus Investment Advisors, Inc.  Mr. Rudnitsky's career began as an analyst at Three Oceans Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanyo North America Corporation.
