ROCKPORT, Texas, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rockport Seafair touts three days of fun, Friday through Sunday, October 8 -10. Tickets are $5 for adults Friday and Sunday; $7 for adults Saturday; $10 for pre-sale wristband, good for all three days, available for advance purchase only, limited supply; and $2 for children 6-to-12. Children under 6 get in free. Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Active duty and retired military personnel receive free admission Friday, October 8 with show of military I.D.
Joe Ely headlines the musical lineup with Texas Honky Tonk, 9 to 11 p.m., Friday, October 8, at 100 Seabreeze, Rockport Harbor. Also featured are live performances by country artists Bobby Bedsole and Luke Olson. On Saturday, artists Scott Taylor, Kelly Kenning, The Texas Toast, Aggie Wranglers and Members from The Ace in the Hole Band perform country, blues and rock. Jazz and soul takes center stage Sunday with Jade Patek, Eddie Olivares and Hilda Lamas.
The Rockport Seafair Parade of floats, bands, clowns, dancers, acrobatics, jugglers and local celebrities carnivals through downtown Saturday morning. Then, off to the festival for:
"No Rules" gumbo contest – anything and everything from chicken to alligator, $2 per cup.
Cardboard Boat races feature amateur builders who navigate vessels made of corrugated cardboard. A popular demolition derby follows race.

Take in the sights and sounds atop a Ferris wheel at the Wagner Carnival. A variety of thrilling rides for children and adults, as well as a fun house. The Rockport Seafair also hosts a children's activity tent with face-painting and craft projects.
