ROMARCO DRILLS 77.7 METERS OF 8.0 G/T AND 148.3 METERS OF 3.6 G/T
TORONTO, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSX-V:R) (the "Company") is pleased to announce ongoing drilling results from the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. The results indicate continued expansion of the mineralized zones at Haile and the increased potential for continuity of the mineralized system between Snake and Horseshoe. Highlighted holes from each zone include:
RC-1816 - encountered 77.7 meters of 8.0 g/t gold on the western edge of
Ledbetter,
RC-1795 - encountered 19.8 meters of 10.6 g/t gold at Snake,
RCT-019 - encountered 30.8 meters of 4.9 g/t gold 74 meters east of Snake
and 166 meters west of Horseshoe, and
RCT-025 - encountered 148.3 meters of 3.6 g/t gold at Horseshoe.
All zones on the Haile project remain open in all directions and at depth. See table below for drill results.
The Company also discloses that it has recovered core samples from its ongoing drill program in the Horseshoe zone containing heavy concentrations of visible gold from 426.7 meters to 427.1 meters in DDH-379, which is projected to be 15 meters from RCT-004. The quantity of gold can only be definitively determined through assaying; however, the Company is contemplating not assaying this core and instead displaying it in the Haile Gold Mine museum due to the extraordinary quantity of gold and rare nature of this type of specimen.

Drilling is being performed by Romarco's company owned drill, by Connors Drilling, and by Boart Longyear. The drill samples are prepared and assayed by Alaska Assay Laboratories. Samples are prepared at their facility in Spartanburg, SC and assaying is completed in Fairbanks, AK. Blank samples and third party standards are inserted at random for submittal with all of the drill samples. The results of the control samples are within acceptable ranges. Periodic duplicate and check samples are analyzed by ALS Chemex in Reno, NV.
