Royal Philips Electronics Adopts MediaTek's LED TV IC Solutions

According to the most recent report of DisplaySearch, worldwide, LED TV's life cycle costs are lower than CCFL, while in Europe, the payback time for a LED TV is less than two years. DisplaySearch TV analyst and director Paul Gray writes: "The advantages that energy efficient TVs bring to the consumer is that their energy consumption costs will be lower than regular TVs." The report goes on to say that consumers will consider energy consumption questions when shopping for a new TV.
