SAINT PAUL, Minn., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISNS), announced today that its Hong Kong based subsidiary Flow Traffic Limited was awarded a contract to supply radar detection systems to the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. The contract is part of infrastructure improvements required for the Asian Games, a major sporting event to be held in November in Guangzhou. The project will provide real time traffic guidance and journey time information with the aim to reduce congestion and travel time during the Asian Games and beyond.
Zhang Jun, President of Beijing Vroad Technology, commented, "We are pleased to supply technology to improve mobility for the city of Guangzhou. We won the contract after tight competition from both international and local vendors of vehicle detection systems. This project will include 160 RTMS® G4 radar detectors and will provide volume, speed and occupancy data to the traffic guidance system."
