Ruckus Wireless Announces "The Future is Now" Trade-up Offer for Enterprises to Future Proof their WiFi Technology

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruckus Wireless, Inc. (NYSE: RKUS) announced today its new "Future is Now" trade-up purchase program in North America (U.S. and Canada), both for existing Ruckus Smart WiFi customers, and for customers of other WiFi vendors. Featuring the Ruckus ZoneFlex™ R710 access point (AP), the world's first WiFi AP based on Wave 2 features of the 802.11ac standard that extends WiFi to enable multi-gigabit WiFi performance and unprecedented capacity, the new Ruckus incentive program offers a cash back rebate to enterprises for replacing each existing WiFi AP of any brand with either a new ZoneFlex R710 Wave 2 indoor and/or ZoneFlex R500 dual-band (2.4/5 GHz) 2x2:2 802.11ac Wave 1 indoor AP, the latter of which is a proven leader in mid-range 11ac Wave 1 performance. This offer is effective immediately and extends through September 30, 2015.

As previously announced on May 4, 2015, Ruckus ZoneFlex Smart WiFi technology outperformed Aerohive, Aruba, Cisco, Cisco/Meraki, HP, Ubiquiti and Xirrus in an exhaustive head-to-head enterprise performance and capacity test of 802.11ac Wave 1 and 802.11n indoor access points conducted recently by the Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNet). The Ruckus ZoneFlex R500, included in the incentive offer being announced today, outperformed all competitive 11ac Wave 1 access points included in the tests conducted by CARNet.

For both current and future Ruckus customers in North America (U.S. and Canada), the company is offering a 35 percent discount off the current MSRPs for both the Ruckus ZoneFlex R710 and ZoneFlex R500 access points ($1,295 and $645 USD, respectively), plus a $200 (USD) cash back rebate for each ZoneFlex R710 purchased, or $100 (USD) for each ZoneFlex R500 purchased. The rebate may be claimed by returning the equivalent number of access points (either Ruckus ZoneFlex or any other brand) to Ruckus Wireless. Any business in North America (U.S. and Canada) that wants to trade in their access points to upgrade to Ruckus Smart 802.11ac WiFi technology is eligible for the program.
