Run Women Run to Honor Donna Frye with Woman of Courage Award

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Run Women Run (RWR), a California Political Action Committee (PAC), will recognize Donna Frye, former San Diego City councilmember and current Californians Aware president, with its first Woman of Courage Award and an honorary lifetime membership at its Annual Membership Meeting on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.

Frye will also speak at the meeting about the importance of electing women officials and standing up to sexual harassment issues in the workplace. The meeting will take place at Fifty-Seven Degrees located at 1735 Hancock Street in San Diego's, Mission Hills neighborhood.

RWR was founded in 2008 by forward-thinking women to bring rationality and accountability back to government. Their mission is to inspire, recruit, train, mentor and support pro-choice women for elected and appointed office in San Diego County. The non-partisan, membership association demonstrates how passionate and courageous individuals can make changes. RWR welcomes new members and provides volunteer opportunities on various committees.
