Runnings Stores Remain Closed on Thanksgiving - Sales Kick Off Black Friday

MARSHALL, Minn., Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Runnings, Your Home, Farm and Outdoor Store, will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014, to allow all employees to celebrate Thanksgiving with their friends and family. All of the 37 retail stores through the Midwest and Northeast will be closed.

"For us, the decision to stay closed is an easy one to make. At Runnings, our 1,700 employees are like family and we believe that Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday that speaks to the core of what it means to be an American. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, each one of our stores will be closed to allow our employees to fully enjoy the holiday with family and friends," said Dennis and Adele Reed, owners of Runnings.

All Runnings stores will reopen at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28th for a Black Friday sale with discounts on brands storewide. Plus, from 5 a.m. to 12 noon, customers receive a $10.00 gift card for every $50 purchased with some exceptions. Regular business hours will resume Saturday, November 29th.
