RxTrials and Clinical Oncology Research Excellence (CORE) announce a strategic collaboration to launch a cancer specific Investigative Site Network (ISN)
ELLICOTT CITY, Md., Dec. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RxTrials, a leading multi-therapeutic Investigative Site Network (ISN), is entering into a strategic collaboration with Clinical Oncology Research Excellence (CORE), a firm that provides scientific, operational, and business consulting to community-based oncology clinics. The collaboration will offer a centralized clinical research infrastructure for these practices that will eliminate administrative burdens and create efficiencies around research program development. The underlying objective is to provide partner sites with solutions that increase patient treatment options and improve overall care.
RxTrials has over two decades experience in over 20 therapeutic areas and will now expand into oncology with this partnership. CORE was created in 2013 to provide much-needed assistance to private medical oncology practices managing their clinical research programs.
This jointly managed model is well positioned to meet the pharma industry's growing demand for high enrolling sites and high quality data submission, while containing costs. Sites involved in this network will be part of the RxTrials Partner Site program and be supported by RxTrials' and CORE's standardized management services, but will be encouraged to maintain autonomy in certain areas and direct interaction with study sponsors during the course of their trials. RxTrials and CORE will provide essential development and operating support for the sites, while allowing the sponsor to maintain the appropriate investigator-centric relationship.

Participating sites are not required to engage in a long-term or exclusive agreement. The companies plan to add at least 10 sites to the network by mid-2015.
