SEATTLE, May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan Swanson continues to grow with the appointment of Marsha T. Mavunkel as Of Counsel in the firm's Immigration Group.

Mavunkel focuses her practice exclusively in the area of U.S. Immigration and Naturalization law. She advises both corporate and individual clients with all aspects of the immigration process, including: H-1B professionals, E-2 Treaty investors, L-1 intra-company transfers, TN professionals, J-1 exchange visitors, F-1 students, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, outstanding researchers, professors, and persons of extraordinary ability, and labor certifications under PERM regulations. In addition, she has worked on Violence Against Women Act cases, naturalizations, and a range of family-based permanent residence cases.

Mavunkel is a commissioner at the Seattle Human Rights Commission, and serves as a pro bono attorney with the Northwest Immigration Rights Project. She graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2009, and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2004. Mavunkel speaks Spanish and Malayalam, an Indian dialect.
