Sabre finalizuje przejęcie firmy Abacus International

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 1 czerwca 2015 r. /PRNewswire/ -- Firma Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: Sabr) ogłosiła dzisiaj, że proces przejęcia Abacus International, lidera wśród globalnych systemów dystrybucji w regionie Azja-Pacyfik, został zakończony.

Abacus obsługuje ponad 100 tys. biur turystycznych na 59 rynkach na terenie krajów azjatyckich położonych nad Oceanem Spokojnym. Firma zbudowała zarówno globalny zasięg, jak i unikalne relacje z lokalnymi liniami lotniczymi i hotelami. Abacus posiada także w swojej ofercie największe portfolio tanich linii lotniczych oraz chińskich linii lotniczych w regionie Azja-Pacyfik. Sabre, które do tej pory posiadało 35% udziałów Abacusa, nabyło pozostałą część za kwotę 411 milionów USD netto.
Dodatkowo, proces przejęcia wymagał podpisania nowych, długoterminowych umów pomiędzy Sabre a 11 azjatyckimi liniami lotniczymi, które uprzednio były współwłaścicielami Abacusa. Przejęcie, obejmujące korekty kapitału obrotowego oraz nabytych środków pienieżnych, zostało sfinansowane gotówką uzyskaną z pożyczki odnawialnej o wartości 70 milionów USD.
Sabre podpisało również porozumienie o włączeniu lokalnej firmy marketingowej - Abacus Distribution Systems (Hong Kong).
