SADA Systems Honored as a Microsoft Public Sector Partner of the Year
Award Recognizes Outstanding Use of Microsoft Technology, Deep Industry Expertise and Exemplary Customer Satisfaction
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SADA Systems today announced its recognition as a 2012 Microsoft U.S. Public Sector Rising Star Partner of the Year. The award honors SADA Systems' innovative use of Microsoft technology in support of Public Sector Agencies and Organizations. Winners and finalists were nominated and selected by Microsoft's U.S. Public Sector team working throughout the nation.
"Microsoft relies on its network of dedicated partners around the globe to deliver technology solutions that empower public sector missions" said Vince Menzione, General Manager of U.S. Public Sector Partner Strategy at Microsoft. "We are thrilled to recognize SADA Systems as a Partner of the Year for its unwavering commitment to serving customers across Education."
Earlier this year in 2012, SADA Systems began to help provision the students, faculty and staff of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) with Microsoft Cloud communication and collaboration tools on the Live@edu platform, the predecessor to Office 365 for EDU. The LACCD is the largest community college district in the nation, serving over 250,000 students each year, with nine college campuses scattered across 36 cities in the greater Los Angeles area. Initially, over 850,000 student accounts are being hosted for the LACCD, with the project focused on identity management capabilities, student information system (SIS) and LDAP integration, in addition to SADA custom-creating a solution to reduce the need for manual student account management. Upon registration, students automatically receive both an email account and collaboration account, streamlining the process and allowing the LACCD's IT staff to focus on more operations-critical tasks.
SADA Systems is consistently engaged in delivering cloud technologies to the educational space, providing both students and staff with the tools and skills reflective of today's modes of communication and collaboration, particularly in the workplace. SADA also helped deliver Office 365 for Education to 11 other educational institutions nationwide in Microsoft's 2012 fiscal year, and is proud to consistently receive positive customer feedback about their services around the Office 365 platform. SADA Systems is currently engaged in a series of Office 365-focused webinars in order to demonstrate the vast capabilities of the platform, and continues to provide deep expertise around the Office 365 platform, having worked with and evolving alongside Office 365's predecessor, Live@edu, for over three years. SADA's former work with educational institutions and districts such as the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) has earned the company a unique understanding of the special IT requirements of higher education institutions and K-12 organizations alike, affording SADA the expertise to work around any uncommon challenges or unique organizational needs.
"Having completed over 50 Office 365 deployments for both small and large educational institutions, we have gained a wealth of knowledge migrating legacy platforms to the Live@edu and Office 365 for Education environments," said Niv Dolgin, Director of IT Services for SADA Systems. "We not only provide successful transitions for educational institutions, but empower them by providing the change management necessary to leverage the platform in its entirety across the faculty and student body. This takes communication and collaboration forward for K-12 and higher education institutions, and provides the added benefit of simultaneously granting students access to tools and skills that will be of benefit to their future careers."
"Education Institutions are being challenged to improve student performance services while simultaneously cutting costs," said Sig Behrens, General Manager US Education at Microsoft. "Over the past year, SADA Systems has shown how the innovative deployment of Microsoft technology can transform Teaching & Learning for our Education customers."
