Sae-A Trading Sends Second Medical Mission to Haiti
- 23 medical professionals from George Washington University School of Nursing and Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital to participate in second medical mission to Northern Haiti, in collaboration Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) member Sae-A Trading
- Thousands of local residents are expected to be treated
CARACOL, Haiti, Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sae-A Trading Co., Ltd (Sae-A), a leading global apparel manufacturer and exporter, is sponsoring its second team of medical professionals to travel to Haiti to provide a comprehensive clinical experience for thousands of children and adults. From August 8 through August 14, medical exams will take place at the S&H School, which serves hundreds of grade school children and is funded by Sae-A.
The medical team brings expertise across specialties including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, anesthesiology, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology. Its efforts build on the previous visit in 2012 and are focused on the communities neighboring the Caracol Industrial Park, where Sae-A operates.
The 2014 medical team consists of 4 different partners from the United States and South Korea: CGI member Direct Relief, the College of Nursing at George Washington University, Pusan National University and Sae-A. The team includes seven medical doctors, 13 nurses, two pharmacists, and one social worker.
