Safecor Health Announces Pharmaceutical Repackaging Award with Premier, Inc.

WOBURN, Mass., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Safecor Health, LLC, the leading pharmaceutical repackaging provider to hospital and health system pharmacies and other sites of care, announced today that Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the healthcare group purchasing unit of Premier, Inc., awarded it a three-year, multi-source agreement for pharmaceutical repackaging services.  Under terms of the agreement, Safecor Health will provide Premier members a flexible and comprehensive menu of unit-dose and bar-coded repackaging services geared toward each client's unique packaging needs and medication safety initiatives.  Healthcare providers will be able to customize packaging formats, dose sizes, and develop custom label and bar-code requirements for oral solids, liquid cups, oral syringes for adults and pediatrics, powders, and other unique packaging formats with unique pharmacy automation requirements.  The new contract was effective December 1, 2009.
