Saint Louis University Purchase of T3 Electric Security Vehicles -- Brings T3 Motion Growth in College Campus Sector to 90 Universities
Saint Louis University Orders T3 Series Electric Vehicles for Campus Security and Community Patrol Efforts
COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- www.t3motion.com - T3 Motion, Inc. (NYSEAMEX:TTTM) a producer of clean technology electric vehicles, announced today that Saint Louis University (SLU) has purchased T3 Electric Stand-up Vehicles (ESV) for university security patrol. The SLU Department of Public Safety and Security Services (DPSSS) will use the vehicle to expand the department's patrol capabilities throughout the campus. More than 80 DPSSS officers were certified in T3 Series operator training earlier this month. This follows T3 Motion's continued penetration into the university security market where over 90 campuses, including Northwestern, Princeton, Virginia Tech, University of Alabama, University of Southern California and Boston University, use T3 ESVs for security and parking enforcement.

“Universities across the country continue to see T3 products as a security solution, and we are experiencing further penetration into the university security marketplace,” stated Ki Nam, CEO of T3 Motion. “With rising crime rates and tight budgets a common theme for US universities, campus security initiatives are greatly benefitted by the tactical and cost-saving benefits of T3 ESVs. The T3 Series fits perfectly with SLU’s security requirements, providing an efficient, clean-technology solution for SLU’s community policing approach, tripling the range of each DPSSS officer.”
DPSSS officers patrol SLU property and monitor university buildings for safety and security issues. In the past, the department's officers have patrolled the campus’ 234 acres of pedestrian walkways on foot and by bicycle, typically pedaling six to eight miles each day on patrol. The T3 Series ESVs can travel up to 25 miles on a single charge, and are field-swappable for 24-hour patrol capabilities.
DPSSS works to provide a safe campus for SLU students, faculty, staff and visitors using a community-based approach that focuses on education, communication and crime prevention. Patrols are carried out throughout campus twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
