Insurance Industry Thought Leader Presents Findings of an Ethical Hacking Study Involving Insurance Carriers
FAIRFAX, Va., April 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Salient Commercial Solutions (Salient), a leading provider of technology consulting services announces that Janeen Blanton will be speaking at the Insurance Technology Association's (ITA) inaugural event, ITA LIVE, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The topic is "Security – Protect and Serve." The presentation will be on Tuesday, April 14, 8:30 AM.
Ms. Blanton, Vice President of Salient's Commercial Operations, also heads the company's Insurance Productivity Services group and has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years. She will report the findings of a study conducted by Salient in which a group of insurers allowed ethical hackers to attempt to penetrate their networks. Along with these results, Ms. Blanton and co-presenter Thomas Dunbar, Chief Information Risk Officer for XL Group, will discuss the importance of a holistic cyber risk management stance as well as some of the most important technical and business aspects companies should be addressing.
