Salient CRGT Awarded $47M Prime Contract to Provide O&M and DME to Housing and Urban Development
FAIRFAX, Va., March 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is working to strengthen the housing market to bolster the economy and protect consumers. HUD's Computerized Home Underwriting Management System (CHUMS) provides the insurance underwriting for all Single Family HUD-insured loans, and enables lenders to place their risk on the Federal Government.
As a prime contractor, Salient CRGT was awarded the CHUMS, FHA Connection and Housing Counseling O&M and DME support contract under its Alliant contract vehicle. This contract is valued at approximately $47 million.
Under this contract, Salient CRGT will provide extensive knowledge of HUD business processes and its software engineering experience to continue to modernize, operate, and maintain the applications that HUD uses. HUD expects to transform the way data is collected from the industry by moving to collection of electronic documents utilizing industry standards and protocols. At the same time HUD must move away from its aging mainframe technology.
