Salient Federal Solutions Appoints Dr. Robert A. Friedenberg as Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Commercial Business

(Salient), a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to clients in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, federal civilian and commercial markets, today announced  Dr. Robert "Bob" Friedenberg has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Vice President (SVP) of Commercial Business.

Friedenberg brings a wealth of IT and Technology Management Consulting to Salient. For the last 10 years he has been the President of Xeelee Group where he was personally engaged to develop strategies and implement systems to drive value from advanced technologies. Previously, Friedenberg held a variety of executive positions with systems integrators, software, and management consulting firms. Over the course of his career, he has worked with federal technology services firms as well as Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, healthcare, publishing, telecom, manufacturing, and retail industries. He also serves on the National Technical Information Services Board of Advisors.

The addition of Friedenberg to the Salient executive leadership team will shape the establishment of Salient's Centers of Excellence for Agile Software Development and Cyber Security — both engineered to leverage across a broad set of Federal government agencies and commercial clients. The Agile Software Development Center of Excellence will integrate CMMI quality processes and rapid deployment using Salient's Talent Operations Center (TOC).

This initiative will give the company the ability to quickly deploy and engage with customers by providing a responsive and high quality Agile teams. The Cyber Security Center of Excellence delivers a combination of services, products, and training with unique and proprietary capabilities for IPv6 adoption, security, and threat remediation.

In addition to performing as CTO, Friedenberg will also be responsible for managing Salient's commercial business and the transference of technology from commercial to federal and vice versa. Salient's commercial portfolio includes a broad range of technology adoption and implementation services to the insurance, financial services, and other industries, including strategy, enterprise Agile implementation, package selection and vendor management, program and project management, security assessments, and IPv6 adoption and security services.
