Salient Federal Solutions Awarded Saudi Support Personnel Contract to Support Air Education and Training Command

FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient), a leading provider of information technology, training, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets, today announced the award of a subcontract from Merlin RAMCo, Inc. supporting the Saudi Support Personnel (SSP) contract. The SSP contract supports the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and Air Force Security Assistance Training (AFSAT) Squadron. This 12-month base with 6-month option award has an anticipated value of $4.4 million.

Under this contract, Salient will provide highly qualified instructors to support the training needs of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) as a result of the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program. Salient's efforts are focused on improving the RSAF interoperability with U.S. and other friendly forces to enhance regional stability in accordance with U.S. military objectives.

AETC is the executive agent for all Air Force sponsored international training and education. The command implements and approves Air Force-sponsored security assistance training and monitors the progress of training and the welfare of U.S. Air Force-sponsored international students. Under AETC, AFSAT develops, delivers, and manages education and training solutions in support of U.S. Security Cooperation objectives. The training program managed by AFSAT directly supports the RSAF's goal of modernizing its Air Force.
