Salient Federal Solutions Supports the World IPv6 Launch for the New Internet Protocol

On the 2011 World IPv6 Day, Salient made the commitment to keep its network IPv6 enabled continuously. The countdown has now begun for all internet service providers (ISPs), home networking equipment manufacturers, and web companies around the world to permanently enable IPv6 for their products and services. Salient is partnering with customers to smoothly transition to IPv6 and to educate employees about building IPv6 networks as well as securing them.  Earlier this year, The North America IPv6 Task Force awarded Salient their Gold Certification for its "Building IPv6 Networks" training course, making it the first defense contractor to earn the distinction/accreditation. In addition, Salient's engineers and training staff have earned Gold Certifications. These prestigious certificates demonstrate Salient's ability to maintain a measureable leadership within the IPv6 community.

Salient has been working with the Defense and Intelligence agencies over the last year to prepare for a secure and smooth transition to IPv6, providing them with a roadmap to a secure future.
