Salient Partners Hires 25-year Financial Industry Veteran David Linton to Lead Retail Sales and Distribution Efforts

HOUSTON, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Salient Partners L.P. (Salient), a $16 billion asset management firm, announced today that David O. Linton has joined as Managing Director, responsible for leading retail sales and distribution activities.

Mr. Linton brings 25 years of financial industry experience to Salient, having most recently served as Managing Director and Head of Sales for the Van Kampen Investments division of Morgan Stanley in Chicago. In that role, he was responsible for generating more than $15 billion of annual sales and led a team of 150 individuals, including 130 internal and external wholesalers. Mr. Linton's career also includes tenures at leading financial services firms including Sun America Capital Services, ING/Pilgrim Funds, Northstar Funds and Dean Witter Reynolds.
