Salt Lake Comic Con Announces League of Heroes Ticket Giveaway

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Salt Lake Comic Con (http://saltlakecomiccon.com/) and ABC 4 want to celebrate the heroes in Utah's schools and have created a League of Heroes to recognize these heroes for a chance to win Salt Lake Comic Con tickets for their entire school.

"Salt Lake Comic Con fans are known around the world for celebrating heroes. In April Governor Gary Herbert declared April 17, 2014 as Heroes Day. We want to continue this tradition and celebrate those students that make Utah and our communities a better place to live and play," said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Founder and Show Producer.  "League of Heroes recognizes those students that are a shining beacon of light and hope in this world. And to celebrate those hero students we are giving them tickets to attend Salt Lake Comic Con."

All Utah based elementary schools, middle schools and high schools are eligible to win. Salt Lake Comic Con and ABC 4 will select five winning schools from across the state.

Nominees should tell us about the heroes in their school and why they should be recognized by Salt Lake Comic Con. Nominees need to post on the Salt Lake Comic Con Facebook wall or on our website with a message or video about the school being nominated and tell the story of why they should win.  There will be five winning schools.  Prizes include:

• One grand prizewinning school will win tickets for all the students and staff.
• There will be four (4) runners-up.  Each runner-up will win tickets for their entire grade.
• Another 1,000 tickets will be awarded for staff picks for the unique entries

The deadline for submission is Monday, September 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM MDT.  Winners will be announced on Thursday, September 4, 201 4 at 11:00 am at the Salt Lake Comic Con kickoff press conference.

Salt Lake Comic Con 2014 is September 4-6, 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
