MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 13, 2014 /CNW/ - Today Samsung Canada, a leading supplier of high-technology in the Canadian marketplace, opens the doors of its third Canadian Samsung Experience Store at West Edmonton Mall in Alberta (Level Two, Entrance 9). Consumers visiting this new location can look forward to a truly integrated product experience with Samsung's tablets, smartphones, notebook PCs, connected cameras and accessories can help them Play More Do More and Share More.

The grand opening of our third Samsung Experience Store today in West Edmonton Mall is another example of how we continue to take strides aligned with that commitment."
In celebration, Samsung Canada is diving into the fabric of the community right away by presenting the 10th annual Family Day ATOM hockey tournament at West Edmonton Mall's Ice Palace (Feb. 15 to 17).
As the international marketing partner of Hockey Canada, Samsung is helping to bring together the coaches of each hockey team for a training session on how they can use Samsung tablet technology in the locker room and on the bench for better game performance. The crowd will also be excited to see Curtis Lazar and Griffin Reinhart, from the Canadian World Juniors team and Edmonton Oil Kings, host the tournament's opening ceremonies on Saturday February 15 in addition to being in the Samsung Experience Store to sign autographs between 1:30pm-4:30pm.
The first Samsung Experience Store opened at Metrotown in Burnaby, B.C. in July 2012 followed by a second at Richmond Centre in Richmond, B.C. in February 2014. Driven by the success of these locations, Samsung Canada has continued to expand their retail presence nationally in partnership with GLENTEL, a national wireless retailer in Canada, United States and Australia. GLENTEL is a leading provider of wireless communications products, services and solutions that help to deliver seamless customer experiences.

In addition to standalone Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung has also started to open a series of Samsung Experience Shops located inside Best Buy and Future Shop locations across Canada with 90 stores planned to open by the end of spring 2014.
