Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto celebrate with simultaneous preview events, which included top Canadian talent and a musical hologram experience by Feist
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Samsung Canada, the leading supplier of mobile phones in the Canadian marketplace, celebrated the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated Samsung GALAXY S 4 last night, with regional launch parties in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto. The truly Canadian launch events featured celebrated Canadian bands - Dragonette in Montreal, STARS in Vancouver, and Walk Off The Earth in Toronto. Additionally Feist performed live simultaneously in all 3 cities as a hologram.
The GALAXY S 4 was developed to redefine the way consumers live and make every moment of life meaningful, which is why Samsung pushed the boundaries of musical performance and worked with Musion - a World Leading Holographic Display company. Their once in a lifetime illusion delivered an incredible 3-D performance from Feist, giving fans in all three cities a connected, unique musical event. Feist's performance brought a new level to innovative fan experiences, allowing her to connect with Canadian fans like never before.

With over 15 years of experience in lighting, video and production design, InFrame Design has created spectacular and memorable visual experiences for Canadian event and TV audiences on shows such as the Juno Awards, Battle of the Blades, George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, and Big Brother Canada.

The Samsung GALAXY S 4 is available to pre-order from Canadian carriers and retail partners with device pick-up commencing on April 27th, and in-store availability starting May 3rd. Musical Performance Information:
To add to her long line of accomplishments, last night was a first for Feist, with her holographic appearance. Best known for her 2004 Juno award winning album Let It Die, which parlayed in to worldwide success with 2007's The Reminder, which earned her four Grammy nominations, six Juno wins, and the Shortlist Music Prize. Most recently Feist released a 12-song album "Metals", which won the Polaris Prize and is known for songs that range from low rumbling and moody ambiences.
Dragonette's performance rocked the house with a few fan favourites and new release, My Legs. Currently Dragonette is promoting their new album "Bodyparts", with an upcoming North American tour kicking off in May.
In Toronto, Samsung and fans alike were treated to Walk Off The Earth's explosive, multi-instrumental musical extravaganza that has been taking the world by storm. Currently promoting their new full-length album, "R.E.V.O.", featuring 10 brand new songs, including their hit single - "Red Hands", audiences reveled in the up close and personal performance.
Fresh from an appearance at Coachella, indie sensation - STARS preformed their hit tracks for the Vancouver audience. Over the course of more than a decade together, STARS has consistently proven themselves, with critically acclaimed albums, including the most recent "The North".
