NEW YORK, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanford C. Bernstein announced the appointment of Rick Galiardo as the new head of U.S. sales. He will be reporting to Robert van Brugge, Chairman and CEO of Sanford C. Bernstein.
Galiardo originally joined Sanford C. Bernstein in 1993 as an institutional salesperson and in 2001 became the firm's first product manager. In 2005, Galiardo was appointed co-head of the European business and successfully spearheaded the build-out of the firm's research platform in London and its steady ascent in the European research rankings. Prior to rejoining the firm this month, Galiardo spent three years as Head of Advice, Guidance and Research Strategy for Merrill Lynch's Wealth Management division.
