Sany Construction Industry Showcases SPCS Technology At 2018 China (Changsha) Prefabricated Building and Construction Technology Expo
Company's technology can match cast-in-place concrete structures in terms of performance
CHANGSHA, China, Nov. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sany Construction Industry ("the Company"), Sany Group's residential construction subsidiary and a world leader in the manufacture of engineering machinery and equipment, drew the attention of visitors to the 2018 China (Changsha) Prefabricated Building and Construction Technology Expo ("the Expo") with its exhibits of SPCS technology that combines smart technology and industrialized buildings, demonstrating the company's concept of providing green and smart industrialized buildings worldwide.
At the invitation of the organizers, Sany Group President Tang Xiuguo and Sany Construction Industry General Manager Ma Rongquan attended the Expo and explained how Sany's SPCS technology can truly match cast-in-place concrete structures in terms of performance, outlining the company's ambitious vision of leading the industry-wide shift from traditional construction to smart manufacturing.
"Sany Construction Industry has developed an assembled monolithic composite structure system that meets the requirements of most regular buildings and put forward an approach to designing an SPCS structure system that is comparable with cast-in-place concrete structures in terms of performance, fundamentally solving the big challenge facing the construction sector," said Mr. Tang. "We released SPCS technology at the Tenth National Prefabricated Building Exchange Conference following review and unanimous approval by a group of expert judges. This marked the official roll-out of the assembled monolithic concrete structure system, opening a new chapter in the industrialization of the Chinese construction sector."
Mr. Ma explained that SPCS technology is comparable with cast-in-place reinforced concrete structures in terms of bearing capacity, strength and ductility of ties and joints between prefabricated components in assembled monolithic concrete structures, as well as between these components and cast-in-place components. The technology is almost equal to cast-in-place structures when it comes to comprehensive performance.
Based on many years of accumulated experience both in their home market and abroad, Sany's technicians developed proprietary production processes for composite concrete structure walls, columns, beams and slabs leading to the manufacturing of a variety of devices for superimposed shear wall production, laminated column integral forming, welding steel cage forming, steel sleeve extrusion and the automated production of prefabricated components. The firm also researched and developed a series of construction methods, including a technology for the quick installation of composite concrete structures as well as an installation and construction technology for a welded reinforced cage for composite concrete structures, creating a model for the superimposed construction of concrete structures.
Mr. Ma said, "SPCS technology can address the technical difficulties in prefabricated buildings. Soon, building houses will be like building blocks, as parts are manufactured in a factory and then assembled on site based on the owners' specifications."
At the Expo, Sany Group also displayed their models and products related to SPCS technology including smart manufacturing robots, a digital factory and a construction cloud platform, causing many visitors to stop, take a closer look and engage in discussions with booth staff.
