Savoo Launches Search for the UK's Smartest Shopper

Savoo.co.uk, the UK's fastest growing money saving, voucher and deal destination site is on the look-out for the UK's smartest shopper; someone that embodies the new style of shopping that is embracing the nation.  With almost 12 million UK shoppers searching for a 'voucher' or 'discount' online in the month of August*, it's easy to see how the economic crisis and double dip recession is changing the attitudes of UK consumers when it comes to what they buy.  Furthermore, Savoo research has shown the use of vouchers and discount codes has risen by 40% in the last two years - a sure sign the UK is waking up and researching hard to get the best prices.

Savoo's Smartest Shopper winner will receive £10,000 in cash and the chance to create a money-saving blog with a group of blogging mentors to guide them throughout the year.

In the words of The Daily Telegraph: "Miss Thrifty has become hugely popular. Her posts tackle all cash problems: beauty, fashion, holidays, weddings, personal finance and food."  They are joined by A Thrifty Mrs, another award-winning frugal blogger who is also a radio producer and voice over artist based in Manchester.
