WALNUT, Calif., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SAWT, a world leader in Vertical Axis Wind Technologies, today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Urban Green Energy, Inc. (UGE).
The federal complaint against UGE alleges infringement of United States Patent No. 7,967,569 owned by SAWT, and that UGE's 9-M, Vision Air 3, Vision Air 5, and Hoyi products blatantly use and copy SAWT's innovative design and technology.
"This is a blatant infringement against SAWT's technology, and we will vigorously protect our intellectual property against those who attempt to copy our unique inventions. From its inception, SAWT has always focused on offering the latest in designs and technology for the Wind Industry and we continue to innovate and introduce new technologies. We will not tolerate infringement of our patents without fair compensation," said Andy Teng, SAWT's President.
The lawsuit has been filed in the Central District of California (Case Number 2:14-cv-03653). SAWT is represented by the Newport Trial Group, a national litigation law firm.
