ScanLife App Updated for More Immersive Holiday Shopping Experience

(www.scanbuy.com), the global leader in mobile barcode solutions, today announced ScanLife 4.0, a new version of its mobile barcode reader application. With ScanLife 4.0, shoppers can now view a live feed that displays codes being scanned in real-time from around the world.  A user can simply click on a product to view valuable information including prices, product reviews and deals.

The ScanLife app is already available on most mobile operating systems including Android, iPhone iOS and BlackBerry.  Over the holidays, ScanLife will also become available for the Windows Phone operating system.  This will mark the first time that ScanLife will be available for the new Windows Phones.

In addition to the ScanLife application update, Scanbuy has updated its Scan & Send solution to simply snap a photo of a code and send it via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) or email.  This allows virtually any device with a camera to access the code's content – without ever downloading an app. The Scan & Send system's accuracy has improved by 80 percent on common QR Codes.

Holiday Promotions

To celebrate this new release, Scanbuy is giving away gift cards to reward shoppers as they are scanning UPC codes.
