School of Business Administration at University of San Diego Launches MS in Finance Program

SAN DIEGO, March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In response to growing demand, the University of San Diego's School of Business Administration (SBA) has launched a new Master's of Science in Finance (MSF) degree that will enroll its first class in August 2015.

"Our new master's degree was developed in response to a marketplace need for more finance professionals with analytical skills and quantitative backgrounds," says Marko Svetina, associate professor of finance and program director. "This program will add great value to those seeking careers in financial management, investment banking and investment management."

Through this 10-month program business professionals will acquire the necessary skills needed for the increasingly technical demands of financial decision-making. Students will study rigorous and relevant coursework grounded in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) curriculum all while learning in the personalized education environment for which SBA is known.

What makes SBAs program unique is the high level of interaction students will have with both faculty and classmates. Class sizes are small to create an environment in which students can learn in-depth and experience rapid professional development. This program also places an emphasis on quantitative models and methods, and the unique knowledge students gain will broaden their opportunities within the industry. The SBA faculty are experts in finance, economics and real estate.
