SCIenergy, Inc. Names Steve Gossett Jr. as CEO, Aligns Organization for Sharpened Growth

DALLAS, May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SCIenergy, Inc., the global leader in providing cloud-based energy management solutions for building owners and operators, today announced that its board of directors has named Steve Gossett Jr. as Chief Executive Officer.  Gossett Jr. succeeds Russ McMeekin, who engineered SCIenergy's transformation into a broad-based energy-efficiency solutions company following the company's recent acquisitions of Servidyne, Inc. and Transcend Equity Development Corporation.

Gossett Jr., who previously served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Transcend, brings more than 17 years of management experience in the energy efficiency space to his new role.  In 1997, he pioneered the Managed Energy Services Agreement (MESA™) to provide financing of energy savings projects in the commercial real estate market. MESA is now a key component in SCIenergy's comprehensive offering of energy management solutions.

The company also made several changes to its organizational alignment to finalize the consolidation of the Servidyne and Transcend acquisitions.  SCIenergy's award-winning building performance solutions team will remain based in Atlanta, Georgia with corporate headquarters now located in Dallas, Texas and regional sales activity based out of San Francisco and New York.  Following the realignment, the company will operate with a total of nearly 100 employees across all locations.
