Scott Coe Appointed to NAESB Board of Directors

LAFAYETTE, Calif., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The North America Energy Standards Board (NAESB), an industry association for the standardization of wholesale and retail markets for gas and electricity, recently appointed Dr. Scott Coe, vice president of Utility Integration Solutions, Inc. (UISOL) to the Wholesale Electric Quadrant (WEQ) in the technology and services segment.

Dr. Coe has been active at NAESB for several years, supporting the development of standards for both demand response measurement and verification business practices and demand response communications.  As a board member, he will provide advice on how best to develop appropriate wholesale electricity standards potentially impacting a wide range of organizations, from the market operators to service providers like demand response aggregators, ultimately all the way down the supply chain to electricity customers.

Dr. Coe is an expert in wholesale power markets, demand response, and interoperability standards, and frequently speaks at conferences and teaches workshops on related topics. At UISOL, he leads the company's practice for the ISO and RTO clients and manages the day-to-day operation of UISOL's Smart Grid Integration Lab to help demand response technology vendors comply with the emerging interoperability standards.
