VIENNA, Va., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On behalf of the ABMA Board of Directors, Mr. Scott R. Lynch has been hired as the new President & CEO of the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA).

Scott was selected from amongst many fine and qualified candidates, having been vetted and personally interviewed by the Executive Search Committee who are to be thanked and congratulated for their considered judgment and efforts in seeing this most important charge to a successful conclusion. Identifying that one person to fulfill the role of President and CEO of the Association was quite a responsibility and your Board of Directors has aligned themselves with the Committee's recommendation.

Scott comes to ABMA with 15 years of professional experience with Smith Bucklin, an association management company. Amongst his past experiences; leading to this appointment, Scott has served as Executive Director of the US Apple Export Council (USAEC), and President of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA) – yes – you read that right….

Scott will be present at the ABMA 2014 Summer Meeting at the PONTE VEDRA INN & CLUB – Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in June and officially takes office on Monday, June 16th.
