Sears Canada Among First Canadian Retailers to Launch Online Points Redemption Feature

Sears Financial cardmembers can now redeem their Sears Club Points online towards almost anything at sears.ca

TORONTO, March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - For the first time ever, Sears Financial has launched an online points redemption system for its five million plus cardmembers - becoming among the first major retail loyalty programs in Canada to do so.

Sears customers who purchase their products on a Sears Financial^TM Credit Card earn valuable Sears Club^TM Points that can be redeemed instantly at Sears stores. The new feature allows Sears Financial credit cardmembers to redeem their Sears Club Points online at sears.ca, towards thousands of products across 50 categories, ranging from women's fashions and cosmetics to appliances and furniture and much more.

To take advantage of the new easy-to-use service, cardmembers must go through the standard checkout process on sears.ca and select a Sears Financial Credit Card as the form of payment. For every 1,000 Sears Club Points redeemed, the cardmember will receive $10 off their purchase.

To celebrate the launch of this new feature, Sears Financial is offering its credit cardmembers a chance to win one million Sears Club Points - worth $10,000 in rewards at Sears-  when they redeem a minimum of 1,000 points online at sears.ca, from March 16 to April 15, 2012.

In addition to online points redemptions, Sears Financial cardmembers can continue to redeem their points instantly at any Sears store, Sears Travel locations and over the phone at 1-800-901-9978.

Cardmembers can earn one point per dollar spent on purchases made everywhere their Sears Financial^TM MasterCard® is accepted, and they can earn two points per dollar spent when shopping at Sears with their Sears Financial Credit Cards
