SEATTLE, May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle's first professional ultimate frisbee team, the Seattle Rainmakers, sit poised to make a run at Major League Ultimate's (MLU) Western Conference title. They take on the Vancouver Nighthawks on Sunday, May 12 at Chief Sealth Stadium SWAC at 1pm. Rainmaker players will be hosting a youth clinic from 10am-11:30am before the game.
The Rainmakers (2-1) are tied with the Nighthawks (2-1) in conference play and have their eyes set firmly on a run to the overall league championship later this season. Fans will have two more chances to catch a home game this season.
"We've been impressed by the fan turnout at the first two home games," said Rainmaker owner and General Manager, Max Vitali. "Our focus is very much on providing the best experience for our game day fans, and it certainly helps that we're able to showcase the best team in the MLU."
With over 1,000 fans in attendance at the first game, the Rainmakers are proving to be quite the draw this season. Ticket giveaways and frisbee throwing contests sprinkled throughout the game, as well as the chance to meet and talk with players after the game, insure that fans get their money's worth each night.
Seattle's next home game is a rematch against the Portland Stags on June 1. The team closes out the season against the San Francisco Dogfish on June 23. Both games will be held at Renton Memorial Stadium.
Tickets are available on the Rainmakers website.
