Securian's SmartPass Streamlines Annuity Sales for Qualifying Advisors
ST. PAUL, Minn., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Here's a scenario that most financial advisors eventually face: You've finally scheduled an important annuity sales meeting, only to learn the client wants to move it up. Now you're under the gun to gather information, complete analyses, and roll it all up into a polished presentation.
Securian removes the stress and tedium of creating sales presentations by organizing the right paperwork at the right time and leaving advisors free to concentrate on what they do best – seeing clients and generating sales.
"Advisors are busy people who want to maximize their limited time and resources," said Hal Harris, VP of national sales, Securian Retirement Distributors. "Now, top advisors who work with Securian can streamline their annuity sales process with our SmartPass program."
To initiate the process, the advisor acquires a SmartPass Ticket from a Securian wholesaler. It's a brief, one-page form with basic client data that the advisor faxes back to Securian's Annuity Services area.
Annuity Services takes it from there by completing all required forms (except suitability, which is the advisor's responsibility) and emailing them to the wholesaler. The wholesaler adds illustrations or sales materials, then emails or overnights the whole package to the advisor.
"Successful advisors don't achieve their goals by spending a lot of time figuring out what forms to complete," said Harris. "They spend the majority of their time in the arena where they shine – in front of clients and prospects who need their services. SmartPass frees them to do that."
Since 1880, Securian Financial Group and its affiliates have provided financial security for individuals and businesses in the form of insurance, investments and retirement plans.
