Joins Securus, Inc. In Supporting Event Hosted at Lehigh University
BETHLEHEM, Pa., Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Security On Campus, Inc. (SOC), the nation's leading non-profit campus safety advocacy organization, announces today that AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry's premier provider of security personnel, is sponsoring this week's "Proceeding in Partnership: The Future of Campus Safety" National Summit. They join Securus, Inc., the title sponsor, in supporting the Summit, which will be held all day Thursday on the Lehigh University campus in Bethlehem, PA. SOC was founded by Connie & Howard Clery after their daughter Jeanne's 1986 murder at Lehigh.

At the Summit, which takes place during National Campus Safety Awareness Month, the country's most prominent thought leaders on campus safety will come together to discuss the critical issues facing colleges and universities. Dr. Robert Carothers, President Emeritus of the University of Rhode Island, will present the keynote address. There will be panel discussions on sexual violence, alcohol & other drug abuse, and emergency response. SOC organizers will compile best practices identified at the summit for distribution in January 2012.
