Securus Technologies today released key operating metrics associated with deployment of its video visitation product set.

Operating metrics are:

SVV deployed in 180 facilities;
240,000 video visits in 2016;
336,000 estimated video visits in 2017;
+6,000 full-time video visitation dedicated terminals installed in facilities;
40% increase in total visits pre and post video visitation installation;
78% of remote video visitation sessions are conducted via a mobile device used by the friend/family member;
63% of facilities DID NOT eliminate or restrict face-to-face visits;
Average price per video session reduced by 75% since 2012, i.e., 75% reduction over five (5) years.
