Each year, the Down Syndrome Guild hosts a massive fundraiser known as the Buddy Walk, and it's growing every year. Each year, Talor and SEI set a goal to raise thousands of dollars to donate to the Buddy Walk for the DSG. This year, Talor has raised over $16,000 through support letters and combined efforts with SEI. These efforts go towards Down syndrome research and awareness, but also to aid the Down syndrome community by providing wheel chairs, physical therapy and much more to over 1,400 local families. In total, the Buddy Walk event raised $297,000, exceeding their goal by $37,000.
The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas held the Buddy Walk at Victory Plaza on Sunday, November 4, at 11:00 A.M. Over 9,000 people came to join in the festivities for a fun-filled day that included a one-mile fun walk, live music, food truck vendors, and activities for the whole family. Many SEI employees, family members, and pets were among those that participated in the Buddy Walk with Talor. Fun was had by all, including the Honorary Chairpersons and popular Dallas radio personalities, Kellie Raspberry and Big Al Mack. SEI encourages their clients and consumers to learn about the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas and contribute in any way possible.
