Select Walmart Stores Near the Chicagoland Speedway to Host NASCAR Fan Events
Retailer Revs up Racing Season with Exclusive In-Store Events and Incredible Race Day Savings
CHICAGO, Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As Chicago prepares for the upcoming GEICO 400, select Walmart stores near the Chicagoland Speedway will host exclusive NASCAR fan events through its new Race Time program starting Sept. 14. Customers are invited to attend these special events and enjoy real stock car racing displays and racing simulator machines – perfect to safely get behind the wheel and feel the power of NASCAR – Sept. 14, 15 and 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
"We've found that nearly nine out of 10 NASCAR fans chose to shop at Walmart(1)," said Walmart market manager Paul Feiden. "We wanted to provide Chicago race fans with unique Race Time experiences and unbelievable savings on NASCAR merchandise that you can only find at Walmart."
