Selective Appoints New Chief Information Officer

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc., (NASDAQ: SIGI) today announced the appointment of Gordon J. Gaudet as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer (CIO). Gaudet will assume responsibility for all Information Technology operations at Selective.

Gaudet has extensive experience in management and technical consulting, large-scale program design and delivery, software vendor selection, software development, and systems integration for custom and package solutions that support technology-enabled business transformation. During his career, he has been responsible for technology strategy and assessment, as well as full life-cycle execution in many insurance sub-sectors, including property and casualty insurance.

For the past 35 years, Gaudet has gained significant understanding and appreciation for the challenges and complexity of insurance information technology organizations. He has spent the last nine years as a director and co-lead of Deloitte Consulting's Insurance Core System Transformation practice in Chicago and served on the Systems Integration advisory boards for Program/Project Management and Delivery Methods and Tools. 

Prior to his tenure at Deloitte, Gaudet was partner and CIO at The Actuarials Exchange, LLC, responsible for all company technology. He spent six years serving at C-Change, Inc., as their Solution Delivery and Technology leader/partner and was responsible for the company's technology strategy, policy and investment decisions.
